Historically, some of our earliest activity involved the negotiation of facultative property reinsurance, and although this area of activity remains fundamental to us today it has further evolved into our present skill in the conception and placement of worldwide-ranging direct property programs making use of many U.S. and London market carriers.

This unit's frequency of activity is in primary, nonstandard casualty lines, such as directors and officers liability, professional liability, fiduciary liability, aircraft products liability, and the like. Not only are our professionals prepared for these challenges but they are well suited for negotiation of the unique, "one off" situation and as well are up-to-date on newly developing forms of insurance.

Thomas E. Sears, Inc. has been placing treaty reinsurance on behalf of our clients for well over sixty years and our prominence in this area continues today. We are the designated intermediary for all types of companies ranging from smaller regional firms to large national carriers. We excel in the placement of standard property and casualty business, both proportional and excess of loss as well as specialty lines such as surety, long haul trucking and excess liability business.
