Derek Horton joined Thomas E. Sears, Inc. in 1982 and is involved in all aspects of the Special Risks Department with particular expertise in the placing of management liability (D&O), with an emphasis on D&O placements for publicly traded companies. In addition Derek is very much involved in placing other specialty insurance lines, including but not limited to, professional (E&O), employment practices, media liability, fiduciary liability, crime/fidelity, kidnap & ransom, excess workers compensation, surety bonds, environmental, aviation and aircraft products liability insurance. He was elected Vice President in 1998.

Cindy Lee brings ten years experience in the insurance industry to Thomas E. Sears, Inc. She is an Assistant Vice President in the Special Risks Department focusing on building and managing the unique type of risk placements that we are known for in the industry. Her range of product placements consist of Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, sophisticated Errors and Omissions Liability and Aircraft/Hull Liability Policies. Cindy Lee is a graduate of Boston College , with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing. She is a licensed Property/Casualty Broker in Massachusetts .

Heidi Streeter as Assistant Vice President is responsible for marketing, placement and servicing of Professional Liability and Management Liability products for both public and private corporations as well as non-profit organizations.  Heidi’s experience is in executive risk evaluation and the design of complex programs protecting executive liabilities.  Heidi has served in several senior positions within the industry including the position of Senior Vice President with Marsh, Inc., where she assumed a variety of different roles including FINPRO Practice Leader and Technology Errors & Omissions Practice Leader.  Heidi has handled complex Professional Liability and Directors and Officers Liability claims while working as a Claims Examiner both with American International Group and Chubb Group of Insurance Companies. Heidi has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College and a Juris Doctorate from Syracuse University College of Law.  Heidi is admitted to the Bar in Massachusetts .
