Walter began his insurance career in 1976 with Thomas E. Sears. Inc. Having worked in various departments, Walter’s background includes the placement of excess liability, self-insured worker’s compensation and aviation-related liability programs, as well as other specialty coverages. His most extensive experience is in the negotiation and placement of property programs from mid-size to large global industrial accounts, as either insurance or facultative reinsurance placements. Walter has managed the firm’s Property Department since 1999. In addition, he is responsible for various property underwriting facilities, which include Boston International Reinsurance Managers, Inc. A 1981 graduate of Northeastern University , Walter was elected Senior Vice President in 2001.  

Bob Wright joined U.S. RE Insurance, an affiliate of Thomas E. Sears, Inc., in 1991. He was responsible for soliciting and servicing a broad array of property insurance risks from a wide range of retail sources. He has been with the Property Department as an Assistant Vice President since 2000, placing both facultative reinsurance and direct insurance. Bob began his insurance career with Aetna C&S in 1970 as a property underwriter. His subsequent property experience included three years with Allendale Insurance, and ten years with New England Reinsurance Corporation as Senior Vice President in charge of their facultative reinsurance operation. Bob was also Vice President in charge of property in the Boston office of Swett & Crawford for six years. He graduated from American International College in 1969.

Bob started with the Thomas E. Sears, Inc. affiliate, U.S. RE Insurance Agency in January 2002 as Assistant Vice President. He moved to the Property department in Thomas E. Sears, Inc in May 2008. His experiences include marine and package underwriting, also assuming and brokering facultative reinsurance. Bob ran his own wholesale agency for 14 years, which now allows him to handle a diverse portfolio of wholesale placements. He graduated from Boston University with a degree in Business Administration

Bette Logan joined Thomas E. Sears, Inc. in 1978 upon graduation from Hesser Business College . She started her career in what was then the claims department. Since 1984, she has assisted in the negotiating and broking of insurance and reinsurance placements as part of the Property Department. Bette was elected Assistant Secretary in 1992.
