Mike Concannon joined Thomas E. Sears, Inc. in 1991 to manage the firm’s Treaty Reinsurance Department. Since 1971, he had been with E.H. Walker, Ltd., Inc., (six years as President) with responsibilities in all areas of treaty production and management. Mike also worked as a casualty underwriter in the home office and New England region of the Commercial Union Insurance Group. He graduated from Boston College in 1968 and attended Suffolk University Law School .

Joan Martino joined Thomas E. Sears, Inc. in 1992 after 18 years experience with E. H. Walker, Ltd., where she was involved in all areas of treaty marketing, servicing, accounting and claims handling. She currently works in the Treaty Reinsurance Department and in addition to negotiating business with both domestic and international markets she also develops and implements a variety of the department’s systems. Joan was elected Assistant Secretary in 1996 and Assistant Vice President 2008. She has  successfully completed Insurance Institute courses and attended seminars in various reinsurance and computer operations functions.

Rudi Gruson joined Thomas E. Sears, Inc. in October 2009 and is actively involved with business development within the Treaty Reinsurance Department. He brings with him 18 years reinsurance experience, having worked for the Munich Re Group internationally and the Hannover Re Group in the United States.  Rudi is a graduate of  The George Washington University and earned his MBA from Rutgers University .
